Food Minister's Visit
The Danish Food Minister, Dan Jørgensen, participated in 3 events to promote Greenlandic and Danish interests: A seminar on Greenlandic Seafood products in the presence of the Crown Prince with more than 120 participants, a seminar on Danish Food Ingredients, where 5 Danish and 45 Japanese food ingredient companies participated, and a roundtable discussion on Danish organic products with 10 key retailers and importers from the Japanese market.

Japanese Investments in Denmark Secured
In February Invest in Denmark secured an investment from a Japanese company. This resulted in the creation of 45 jobs in Denmark within the area of security software.

The Danish Food Portal
The Danish Food Portal is a project to present and promote small and medium sized Danish exporters under one umbrella of Danish Food. The portal was launched in December 2014, and in January 2015 a buyer’s event was held for 20 representatives from Japanese food importers at the Embassy. Next buyer’s event will be in November 2015.

Greenlandic promotion
In March the Danish Crown Prince Couple, the Premier of Greenland and the Danish Food visited Japan. The visit also offered the occasion for several commercial events. 14 Greenlandic companies from the food, fashion and tourism sectors joined the promotion.
To promote Tourism a seminar was held on 27 March with 85 participants from the Japanese travel industry. The seminar was followed by 93 b2b meetings between the Japanese travel agents and the Greenlandic operators, who had travelled to Japan.

Scandinavian Micro Biodevices (SMB) Finds Japanese Partner
In April the Danish company SMB signed an exclusive distribution agreement with ERMA, allowing the latter to sell SMBs blood analysis equipment for use in Japanese veterinarian clinics. The Trade Council assisted SMB in the partner search and meeting program leading to the agreement.
