Signing ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding in Kitakyushu city

Yesterday on 25 Oct, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has signed with the aim of contributing to the further development of both sides by establishing a framework for the sharing of knowledge in the fields of digitalisation, the environment and energy.

We expect that the MoU stipulates matters of cooperation and collaboration, including the exchange and dissemination of information on the technologies, knowledge and experience of both sides, and the promotion of economic and industrial activities of both sides.

Denmark has technology, knowledge and experience in digitalisation, including first place in the UN e-government rankings and international competitiveness rankings. The country is also working on environmental and energy policies on a national level. Kitakyushu city is actively promoting DX, and its efforts have received high acclaim, including winning several prizes in Japan. Kitakyushu is also focusing on the promotion and expansion of renewable energy, including the establishment of offshore wind farms, in order to achieve the SDGs. Both sides are currently actively deepening exchanges in these areas between parties.
