Life Science – Economic Diplomacy
The embassy has since April 2018 had a team to support that Denmark and Japan build closer relations within healthcare. The starting point for the collaboration is a Memorandum of Cooperation signed by the two health ministers in October 2017.
Since then, the embassy has organised events within a number of areas including:
- Regulatory affairs
- Health value assessments and the pricing of medicine and devices
- Mental health
- Non-Communicable Diseases
- Anti-Microbial Resistance (AMR)
- Reproductive Health
- Diagnosis Related Groups (DRG)
- Digital Health
- Elderly care
The activities in Japan are an integral part of the Danish Life Science strategy, and there are “health diplomats” in 7 other countries
